North Austin & Virtual services in Texas

It can feel like no one understands you because of what you’ve been through.

You might have difficulty trusting others and feel like you always have to watch your back.

As you try to figure out who you are, you might struggle with self-esteem, depression, and anxiety.

You may feel caught between cultures, unsure of which values to honor.

You’re exhausted and burnt out.

If you are struggling with any of these issues, you are not alone.

  • "Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live."

Together, we can work towards finding balance and meeting your needs:
to feel heard,
to have choices in what happens around you,
and to feel safe and secure.

Meet Jenny Lau

  • 2nd-generation Chinese-American mental health therapist specializing in providing gentle, compassionate care for individuals with trauma, adolescents and children, people of color, and healthcare professionals

  • Extensive clinical experience, both therapeutic & medical, for a decade

  • I aim to provide a safe space for you to truly express yourself and feel deeply heard within an authentic therapeutic relationship

A lotus arises from
grimy depths and
blooms with brilliant beauty.

Similarly, I believe that individuals can grow into their truest potential despite enduring adverse circumstances; I am devoted to creating the space needed for that process to occur. I strive to maintain the balance of validating what we have been through in the past and choosing to grow towards fulfillment and the future.

The lotus is a symbol of spiritual enlightenment and equanimity - the state of achieving inner equilibrium. If you are seeking this, it is a journey we can embark on together.

The lotus is also indicative of my Asian heritage, as it is a symbol commonly used in many Asian cultures. I help provide representation for my ethnicity within the mental health provider field and aspire to be an inclusive therapist.
